While September signifies the end of summer, the courts are moving full speed ahead into Fall. Generally, the courts tend to slow down during the summer months, with some courtrooms closed the last week or two of August.  Historically September is one of the busiest months for court appearances and depositions. The slow-paced nature of summer is quickly forgotten as thousands of cases return to the docket, especially this year as we have seen a return to in-person appearances in Supreme and Civil Courts throughout New York and New Jersey. # New York News Honorable Lawrence Marks is the new presiding Chief Administrative Judge. Fischer, Jr. - Judge Jack M. Sabatino - Judge Douglas M.
